The Argument That Changed Everything

We all argue, but what's your style? And how do you choose which battles deserve your all?

I'm not talking about the fights you want to have, but the ones you know you need to have. The ones that aren't about politics or religion, but about what's fundamentally right.

My son had just turned six when an argument erupted that would forever alter my course. Looking back, I'm grateful for it. The other person's intentions have finally become crystal clear - she was trying to save me.

It was a clash with someone close, someone who had always been there. But this argument shattered our relationship irrevocably. We're strangers now, and yet, I'm thankful. Thankful for the rescue that followed. Because in the end, it worked.

Was it the path I'd hoped for? Absolutely not. But the truth is, the battles worth fighting are often the ones that shake the foundations of our lives, the ones rooted in love and a deep sense of right and wrong.

That single argument over a birthday cake was the moment God intervened. It was the moment He knew I couldn't be saved by anyone else.

Story to be continued. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have cicada wings to preserve in resin.
